Johnnie Cruise Mercer journeys home to the American Dance Festival to work with the Summer Dance Intensive students. A week of facilitated thought, and philosophical questioning, Mercer and the company engage the beginning process of Process memoir 8: The mime, the bitch, and those warlocks.

Process memoir 8 is takes form as multiple facilitated choreographies. Dedicated to building and fostering legacy in relation to education, movement philosophy, and unrestricted imagination, the practice and memoir focused heavily on young artists of color/other (with a specific focus on public education in black communities). Process memoir 8 is an extended process beginning in the Summer 2019 season.
